Hanoi Halong Leisure introduces you to the vibrant city of Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, as well as giving you a taste of Halong Bay, a Unesco World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful natural places in the country. For travellers with limited time, this tour provides the best introduction to what northern Vietnam has to offer.
Day 1: Hanoi
We welcome you at Hanoi International Airport, and arrange for your transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free and easy at your own leisure. We do not have a fixed program on the first day as a precaution against any unforeseen flight delays. Use the opportunity to do a bit of introductory exploration of Hanoi.
Day 2: Halong Bay (B/L)
Morning
Your friendly tour guide fetches you from your Hotel. Today you visit
Halong Bay. On the way there, your coach makes a short stopover at Hai Duong city, where you can come down for about 20 mins to relax and experience the Vietnamese countryside. Upon arriving at Halong City, you go on board a motorized junk to visit Ha Long Bay. The boat trip will take about four hours. You will be taken to visit Thien Cung and Dau Go Caves.
Afternoon
Lunch in served on board. After that, you continue your boat trip to enjoy the sceneries in Halong Bay. You are taken to visit a floating village to understand more about the way of life of the local people there. You can take the opportunity to swim in the water, if you wish, or just enjoy taking photographs. Later that day, the boat takes you back to the harbour at Halong City, where you get back onto your coach to return to Hanoi. The tour of the day ends when you arrive back in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi (B/L)
It's a busy day today as we explore the many sights in Hanoi. Your tour guide comes to fetch you from your hotel to take you to sightsee Hanoi. You will visit the
Municipal Theatre, a typical opera house built by the French in 1911, the
History Museum which exhibits artifacts from prehistory to the history of the communist party. Visit
Hoan Kiem Lake and
Den Ngoc Son Temple - in the heart of the city. Then, transfer to the Old Quarter to witness ordinary life in Hanoi.
After lunch of Bun Cha (grilled meat on rice noodles), we continue to the
Army Museum. It displays scale models of various epic battles from the long military history of Vietnam to the capture of Saigon. We also visit Ba Dinh Square where Ho Chi Minh declared independence in 1945, Quan Thanh Temple and the Museum of Ethnology where you can look at the cultural mosaic of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. Return to your hotel in the afternoon.
Day 4: Hanoi - Home (B)
No activities are planned for the last day, so that you have the chance to relax and pack up your souvenirs. It is free and easy until time to transfer to airport, bringing home lovely memories of Vietnam.
