 Mae Sai is a town on the northern part of Thailand. This is the border between Thailand and Myanmar. The border town has grown to become a local shopping area, with goods from neighbouring Myanmar and Laos being sold in the shops. This is a good place to shop for souvenirs, snacks, handicrafts and other items. At Mae Sai, you also have the opportunity to cross over to Myanmar and Laos, a short distance away. Arrangements can be made if you wish to visit these countries.
